John Talabot is a partially subsidised, secular and multicultural school that offers a solid education in academic, cultural and in human values, based on the curriculum established by the Generalitat of Catalonia and with an exclusive project in the English language that is backed up by 40 years of experience.
We offer our students a cultural richness that allows them to grow and learn in an international environment where English, Spanish and Catalan are used in different subjects.
We have one group per level, which allows us to get to know and offer each and every one of our students personalised attention. We contribute to their development as people throughout their entire school life: motivating them to be excited about learning, teaching them to think, to decide, to talk things out and to be conscious of their own abilities.
Our students feel safe and happy, which we consider to be essential to their motivation for learning.
We understand that the process of learning is a balance between the acquisition of knowledge, abilities, experimentation and manipulation, essential for making learning a life experience.
We are nourished by the cultural and educational richness that a city like Barcelona offers us by selecting the appropriate school trips. We are an active school.
We believe in striving for academic excellence and thus achieving excellent results. Our students experience the rewards of trying hard from an early age as well as learning humility and solidarity in dealing with those around them.
The disciplines of art and sport are essential for development and complement the educational process.
We are an Eco School, conscious of our environment, and have made taking care of it part of our educational project. Both in Preschool and in Primary, we look after ecological allotments that allow us to investigate and learn about nature in a caring environment.
We are located in a privileged area of Barcelona, next to Collserola, the lungs of the city, and in excellent environmental conditions.
Our school is comprised of three buildings, each of which houses one of the educational stages of our school.
The John Talabot School has worked with this trilingual project since 1976.
